kate bush gets so intense it’s downright freaky. i like it. even on the songs i don’t care for, i think to myself “this is an artist.” one of those people not just content to use the medium in its expected shapes, but who insist upon redefining the genre or medium just by what they do with it. she’s a musician who paints with sound. i think of trent reznor, or the white album.
