smoke like plumage, belly like sky
wouldn’t it be great to fashion earbuds that were molded to your own ear? they always end up hurting before i’m ready to stop listening to whatever it is i’m listening to. i love the idea of audio books and podcasts. stuff you can store on your UNIT whatever that is, whether an iPod, an iPhone or a non-apple mp3 player/fone, and carry with you. save for times you dont wanna stare out the window, but want to focus on something. i spent a lot of time using cassettes, a lot of time. not just using them, but taking them apart and fixing them, maintaining my tape collection, my tape diary, the one i started when i was 18…tho i have tapes from when i was a child, and first began rockin the mic yo. digital transfer sure is easy, i’ll say that for it. and vey lightweight. i remember in nyc i had to have my discplayer as i moved around, train to train to street to sidewalk to stairs and i thought it was great when i got that g-force non-skipping one that stored a few seconds digitally so when it skipped or bumped, it would simply use that info, and you could move around without worrying about skipping, that was great, but you still had to carry like 70 CDs to have a decent variety and that was a pain in the ass.
now you can carry triple that on something the size of a cookie. wow! i love that. i hope i’m still alive when holographic TV is realized and widely available. will we call today’s television “2D TV” or something shorter, like “Flat TV” or just “2D”? i bet it will seem pretty lame at that point to sit and stare at a flat image. i bet peripheral elements will be introduced to bring us into the setting. leaves, cars going by, birds, smoke. like dolby surround sound, but for the eyes.
