no es mi tipo

ou know, one of the longest, toughest parts of the design process is choosing the font. if the job is just for me, just some grafik for my own blog or something, i use one of the about 200 fonts i have installed and active. if its a job for someone else, i open up my font manager (Linotype font explorer X) and browse through some amount of the nine thousand fonts i own. (that’s not an exaggeration, i have 9,000 and change, maybe 9,300 or so, a designer has to have a lot of fonts, you buy discs of them, dont download them free when you can help it, remember a font is a software program all in and of itself, a bad or broken one can mess up your computer or give you spyware, etc, not that i worry too much about spyware with my mac)

the font does so much for the feel of the site/project/art that it is not something to choose quickly or casually. so the part of the job that is slow and painstaking and cant be rushed almost doesnt feel like “work” and can take hours, easily.
